The Swords & Senses Zines

Two great fandoms that "taste" great together...

The first zine in the Swords & Senses series was "Net Swords & Senses" in which I published the very best of TS and HL net fanfiction, along with color illustrations and a color cover by Killashandra. There's just something about Highlander, set part time in mythical Seacouver, Washington, and The Sentinel, set in equally mythical Cascade, Washington that seem to go together. Both are contemporary series with heroes with special abilities that cannot be shared with the rest of the world. Currently seeking submissions are the next two issues in the series.

ORIGINAL SWORDS & SENSES is seeking never before published stories in either the Highlander or Sentinel universes. Duncan/Methos and Jim/Blair pairings are preferred but others will be considered. Publication is planned for Escapade in February, 2001.

CROSSED SWORDS & SENSES is a crossover zine looking for any story that uses Highlander or The Sentinel crossed over with another universe or with each other. Partners can be kept together or slashed with a character from the crossover universe. This zine is also planned for February, 2001.

Submissions may be sent via email, preferably in rich text format, or on disc and must include the following: author's pen name as it should appear on the story, author's email, author's mailing address so that a trib copy may be sent if the story is accepted. Submissions must be single spaced with no double spacing between paragraphs.

Accepted stories will receive gentle editing for characterization, grammar and punctuation. Authors will be able to approve the finalized copy of their work before it is published.

Accepted authors and artists will receive a contributor's copy of the zine.

The first Swords & Senses zine, "Net Swords & Senses" is still in print and available. Stories are presented with beautiful color title illos by Killashandra and additional color art as well. The zine is slash and an age statement is required for purchase. Although these stories are available on-line some of us just enjoy having them all together in printed, beautifully formatted and comb bound zine form.
